Arizona

Arizona is a relatively young state that celebrated its centenntial in 2012. Its capital city of Phoenix exemplifies a modern American metropolitan area while other areas continue with traditions and vestiges of the Old West.

Sonora

Sonora is Mexico’s second-largest state by land area and 18th-largest by population. It has a higher standard of living compared to other Mexican states, due in large part to its proximity to the United States.

Tourism, manufacturing, mining and transportation are strong drivers of the Sonoran economy.

Sonora has eight permanent native ethnic groups, each with its own language, art, culture and traditions.

And its residents are some of the hardest working in the world, looking for opportunities where they can work for a fair wage in a good work environment.

Connections

We believe that significant connections are best made directly, between cross-border counterparts. And that the role of governments in both Arizona and Sonora is to create an environment to facilitate those connections.
