Dialogue to Strengthen Investment and Economic Development
Cajeme Mayor Javier Lamarque and Drew Hoster, U.S. Consul General in Hermosillo, recently led a working session with local business and social-sector leaders as part of the municipality’s Binational Dialogue for the Productive and Economic Sector.
The initiative aims to build stronger bilateral collaboration by aligning efforts between government, institutions, and local industry to support long-term economic and social development. Mayor Lamarque emphasized that the Consul General’s participation reflects the importance of strengthening shared opportunities and cooperation between communities on both sides of the border.
Lamarque also highlighted the role of Cajeme’s productive sectors as a foundation for regional growth in southern Sonora. The dialogue is intended to gather concerns, exchange ideas, and build solutions that promote competitiveness, investment, job creation, and improved quality of life for families in Cajeme.
Consul General Hoster expressed his willingness to listen and explore mutual commitments, noting that Cajeme’s progress represents a shared economic opportunity for both Mexico and the United States.
